Indiemark 3 and E2E Indiemark Encoder

Hello,

I am planning on buying these two for my Unreal Engine virtual production work. However, since my video camera doesn't have genlock, I am expecting some drifting using Indiemark. That said, is it possible to set/control Indiemark's delay so I can match focus/zoom movement with the video signal?

Oh, two more questions:

For smaller spaces where the distance between the PC and the camera is not long, can I use only the Indiemark encoder without E2E?
Is Unreal Engine 5.7 supported?

Hello!
If you're not using an E2E, you'll be using the LONET software via USB, which does allow you to set a custom output rate and delay.

We haven't gotten around yet to updating the Lonet plugin for 5.7, but version 3 allows you to output OpenTrackIO which Unreal supports as well.

AndyJarosz Thank you for the clarification! Sorry for asking such basic questions; I've decided to implement focus decoders into my pipeline, so I’m still learning how everything works.

If I understand correctly, when using USB, I just need to activate OpenTrackIO inside LONET and enable the OpenTrackIO plugin inside UE. Is it really that simple?

What is the status of E2E Ethernet and E2E FIZ? Do they work with all UE 5.x versions, and how do they communicate?

Yep, that's about it!
The E2E boxes bypass the Lonet software entirely, and send data right to Unreal or whatever is receiving the data. It uses the same plugin for the Lonet protocol.

AndyJarosz Ok, to summarize: via USB, you can use any version of UE with LONET app and OpenTrackIO. For E2E, you're limited to UE 5.6 and below because the LONET plugin hasn't been released for 5.7 yet.

psychoanima 5.8 isn't even officially out yet! 🙂 Epic tends to make breaking code changes between the previews and release builds, so we always hold off until the official releases.
